Man Kills Buck With Bare Hands in Bedroom
Nov 02 BENTONVILLE, Ark.For 40 exhausting minutes, Wayne Goldsberry battled a buck with his bare hands in his daughter's bedroom…Goldsberry finally subdued the five-point whitetail deer that crashed through a bedroom window at his daughter's home Friday. When it was over, blood splattered the walls and the deer lay dead on the bedroom floor, its neck broken.
Goldsberry was at his daughter's home when he heard glass breaking. He went back to check on the noise and found the deer...Goldsberry finally was able to grip the animal and twist its neck, killing it.
...At this time of year, a buck that sees its reflection in a window often charges, believing it is fighting off a rival, Gay said.
Goldsberry intended to have the deer processed for its meat.http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/11/02/D8DKFUN83.html

Kill 'freshmen,' high school decides
November 2, 2005 There are no more "freshmen" at Amherst Regional High School in Massachusetts. The administration at the school has decided to kill "freshmen" – the term, that is. Freshmen are now simply ninth-graders for reasons of political correctness.
What could be objectionable about the term "freshmen"? ...The last syllable of the word has a male connotation.
...Marta M. Guevara, assistant principal for student support, said earlier this month the change to ninth-grader was initiated nearly two years ago during a week that highlighted issues surrounding violence against women. The week ended with the student production of the controversial play "The Vagina Monologues."
As for Guevara, she is pleased that debate has been stimulated... "We just want to have a conversation and have a dialogue and see what makes sense to our school," she said. "We want conversation, we want for kids to bring forward their thinking. It's a great conversation to make them aware of the possible misogynistic, oppressive or non-inclusive language." (I think Guevara should be removed as an administrator as she has a warped idea of the purpose of High School...)http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=47176
Do As I Say (Not As I Do)
November 1, 2005 From the book "Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy"
Michael Moore: "I don't own a single share of stock!" filmmaker Michael Moore proudly proclaimed. He's right. He doesn't own a single share. He owns tens of thousands of shares – including nearly 2,000 shares of Boeing (military industry), nearly 1,000 of Sonoco (big oil), more than 4,000 of Best Foods (big business), more than 3,000 of Eli Lilly (big pharmaceutical), more than 8,000 of Bank One and more than 2,000 of Halliburton, the company most vilified by Moore in "Fahrenheit 9/11."
...House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who proclaims her support for unions, yet the luxury resort, the vineyard and the restaurants she partly owns are strictly non-union. While she advocates tough new laws enforcing environmental regulations on the private sector, the exclusive country club she partly owns failed to comply with existing environmental regulations for the past eight years – including a failure to protect endangered species.
...Barbra Streisand is a proponent of environmentalism, yet she drives an SUV, lives in a mansion and has a $22,000 annual water bill. In the past, she has driven to appointments in Beverly Hills in a motor home because of her aversion to using public bathrooms.
...Ralph Nader plays the role of the citizen avenger – the populist uninterested in wealth and materialism, pretending to live in a modest apartment. In fact, he lives in fancy homes registered in the names of his siblings....http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=47174

Smart black students being accused of "acting too white"
10/28/2005 North Carolina- Smart black students being accused of "acting too white" is an issue Triangle educators are debating at a youth and race conference this week.
...Tenth grader Anais Guzman is on the honor roll. She says some of her peers see the achievement as acting too "white". "They can get high grades but they don't want to because they'll be considered as acting white, so they put white people down,” Guzman said.
That's the argument some educators say is fueling the achievement gap in North Carolina schools...students say the "acting white" theory is a reality...
...College freshman Erin Burns added, “Black students that are doing well in the classroom or hang out with white friends or have good grammar, talk properly or don't use slang, they get accused of being white a lot."

Black Dems Pelt Black Republican With Oreo Cookies...
November 2, 2005 Black Democratic leaders in Maryland say that racially tinged attacks against Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele in his bid for the U.S. Senate are fair because he is a conservative Republican. Such attacks against the first black man to win a statewide election in Maryland include pelting him with Oreo cookies during a campaign appearance, calling him an "Uncle Tom" and depicting him as a black-faced minstrel on a liberal Web log.
...Delegate Salima Siler Marriott, a black Baltimore Democrat, said Mr. Steele invites comparisons to a slave who loves his cruel master or a cookie that is black on the outside and white inside because his conservative political philosophy is, in her view, anti-black..."Because he is a conservative, he is different than most public blacks, and he is different than most people in our community," she said. "His politics are not in the best interest of the masses of black people." ...Mrs. Marriott said. "Just because he's black, everything bad you say about him isn't racial." (it is when the tables are reversed) ...This week, the News Blog -- a liberal Web log run by Steve Gilliard, a black New Yorker -- removed a doctored photo of Mr. Steele that depicted him as a black-faced minstrel... However, the blog has kept its headline "Simple Sambo wants to move to the big house." A caption beneath a photo of the lieutenant governor reads: "I's Simple Sambo and I's running for the Big House." http://www.washingtontimes.com/metro/20051101-104932-4054r.htm
Clarence Thomas not a real black?
Paper arguing for court 'diversity' wants asterisk by his name November 1, 2005 In an editorial arguing for "diversity" on the U.S. Supreme Court after the nomination yesterday of Samuel Alito, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel suggested Justice Clarence Thomas doesn't count as a black.
The daily's editorial board, lamenting the choice of a man to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, opined today: "In losing a woman, the court with Alito would feature seven white men, one white woman and a black man, who deserves an asterisk because he arguably does not represent the views of mainstream black America."
...Project 21 member Mychal Massie, a WND columnist, said... "The fact that Justice Thomas may become our nation's first black chief justice is a tremendous civil rights milestone, but it will be a tremendous step backward if he were undermined simply for being a black conservative," Massie said. "Not only will it hurt Justice Thomas personally, but it could stifle future generations of black Americans from expressing independent and diverse political opinions." http://worldnetdaily.com/news/printer-friendly.asp?ARTICLE_ID=47167
Former Congressman J.C. Watts, who happens to be black, faced similar discrimination when he was in Congress:
Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts speaking on Hannity and Colmes about his refusal to join the Congressional Black Caucus made national headlines when he refused to join the Caucus for this reason: "...they [ Jesse Jackson, et al ] said that I had sold out and Uncle Tom. And I said well, they deserve to have that view. But I have my thoughts. And I think they're race-hustling poverty pimps."
Congressman Watts was quarterback for the University of Oklahoma, and later in the Canadian Football League from 1981-6. After leaving football he served as a Baptist youth minister, 1987-94.
J.C. Watts is a rare breed, a black Republican, the first elected from a southern state in over 120 years. Instead of joining the Congressional Black Caucus (obviously primarily Democratic in nature), he was chosen chair of the House Republican Conference (1998.) Since retirement from Congress he heads J.C. Watts Companies, a consultant in business strategies, and is active on several corporate boards.

‘Non-Partisan’ Congressional Black Caucus
There is not a single Republican in the 43-member Congressional Black Caucus. Since the group’s founding in 1971, only three black Republicans – Sen. Edward Brooke of Massachusetts, Rep. Gary Franks of Connecticut and Rep. J.C. Watts of Oklahoma -- have been elected to Congress and none chose to join the Black Caucus.

Judge Probed Patrick Fitzgerald for Misconduct
Nov. 2, 2005 A federal judge in Chicago accused Leakgate Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald of prosecutorial misconduct earlier this year and launched an investigation into what he said a misuse of grand jury materials - before Fitzgerald had the probe shut down by a higher court.
In January 2005, U.S. District Judge James F. Holderman accused Fitzgerald's U.S. Attorney's office in Chicago of turning grand jury materials over to a plaintiff's lawyer in a hospital-fraud case, the Associated Press reported at the time...
...The federal judge asked that Fitzgerald be investigated for "misstating the law and other offenses" by the OPR, the arm of the Justice Department that investigates allegations of wrongdoing by prosecutors.
...Fitzgerald did acknowledged that his prosecutor should have notified defense attorneys before turning over confidential grand jury materials to the plaintiff's side in the hospital fraud case...http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/11/2/00441.shtml

Hillary Clinton: Libby's Leak Lie 'Reprehensible'
Nov. 2, 2005 Hillary Clinton is blasting former top White House aide Lewis Libby for allegedly lying to investigators, saying his decision to leak CIA employee Valerie Plame's name to the press was "simply reprehensible."
...The former first lady, who had her own truth-telling problems in the Travelgate scandal, said Libby's attempts to "interfere with the investigation" by deceiving investigators "raises serious national security concerns."
...In 2000, then-Independent Counsel Robert Ray issued his final report on the Travelgate probe, where he concluded: "The overwhelming evidence establishes that Mrs. Clinton played a role in the decision to fire the [travel office] employees and thus her statement to the contrary under oath to this office is factually false."
