Check out this hilarious bit from one of the BLUE COLLAR COMEDY crew as he discusses how political correctness is destroying celebrations and holidays such as Christmas. Instead of The Night Before Christmas, now we have The Night Before a Non-Denominational Holiday.

2006 Hurricane Season Officially Over
Not a single hurricane hit the US this year, despite the prediction of another bad season this year as forecasted by the weathermen, scientists and computer models. Computer models are only as good as the data fed into them, and when you are trying to predict the future you don’t have data to feed the model, just assumptions. If your assumptions are flawed then the results will be wrong, which is what makes the global warming models so dangerous. DB
Hmmmm... girls can sue to join boys teams but...
Boy can't join girls' gym team
Nov 30 MADISON , Wis. - A state appeals court on Thursday rejected a lawsuit by a boy who wanted to compete on his high school's girls' gymnastics team.
...Bukowski filed the lawsuit as a junior at Stevens Point Area High School in 2004. He argued the WIAA rule preventing him from trying out for and competing on the girl's gymnastics team discriminated against him because his school did not have a boys' team.
Bukowski argued that the rule violated the equal protection clause of the U.S. Constitution as well as a federal law known as Title IX, which was meant to prohibit sex discrimination in sports.
...Courts have previously ruled that letting boys compete on girls' teams jeopardizes opportunities for girls. But Bukowski, who had competed in gymnastics at a local YMCA, argued the case was similar to recent examples of girls who were allowed to compete on boys' teams in football and wrestling…

Residents use pig races to deter building of mosque
11/29/06 Katy , TX - ...One of two big yellow signs announces a new neighbor is coming soon.
K.I.A., that's the Katy Islamic Association, plan to build a mosque here...
...this fight has gone much farther than many between two neighbors. You see in these fights, sometimes neighbors throw mud at one another, in this instance they're wallowing in it.
Craig Baker owns pigs.
He's the guy behind the second big yellow sign on Baker Road . That's the one announcing Friday night pig races.
"What does it matter, I can do whatever I want with my land right,"
asked landowner Craig Baker...
...Now before you go thinking Craig Baker is unfair, or full of hate, or somehow racist, hear him out.
Baker has long roots here, his family named the road and when the new neighbors moved in, he tells us, they asked him to move out.
"Basically that I should package up my family and my business and find a place elsewhere," said Baker. "That's ridiculous, they just bought the place one week prior and he's telling me I should think about leaving."
That new owners deny they ever said anything like that, but Baker isn't budging.
...Baker admits the pigs are a message he is not leaving...

St. Nick Ban Causes Stir in Vienna
11-29-2006 - VIENNA , Austria -St. Nick, nein! A ban on St. Nicholas at Vienna 's kindergartens is taking some of the ho-ho-ho out of the holidays for tens of thousands of tots this year. And it's creating a political ruckus, with opposition parties accusing City Hall of kowtowing to a growing Muslim population by showing Europe 's Santa the kindergarten door.
Municipal officials insist their decision is prompted more by psychology than political correctness. Instead of joy, the sight of a strange bearded figure at the door evokes fear in most kids, they argue. And they point out that the policy on St. Nicholas is more than a decade old
- though they concede it is being enforced more rigorously than in the past...
W.Va. city's Xmas scene has no Jesus
Dec 1
ST. ALBANS, W.Va. - Christ is missing from Christmas in this small town. The community's holiday display has a manger with shepherds, a guiding star, camels and a palm tree, but no baby Jesus, Mary or Joseph.
The parks superintendent said Jesus was left out because of concerns about the separation of church and state. But Mayor Dick Callaway said it was done for purely technical reasons: "It's not easy to put a light-up representation of a baby in a small manger scene, you know." (yeah, no one's been able to figure that one out!)
In Wheeling , baby Jesus is represented in a manger scene at Olgebay Park 's Winter Festival of Lights, which draws visitors from across the country.
"If anything, we get criticized for not having more examples of that type of thing," said J.C. Douglas Dalby, president of the Wheeling Park Commission.

On a bright note from the article above:
...Two weeks ago, the Marine Reserves Toys for Tots program in Los Angeles overcame concerns about accepting a donation of 4,000 talking Jesus dolls that quote Bible verses by promising to make sure the dolls reach Christian children.
Some people are still scratching their heads over what happened in Chicago , where the movie studio behind "The Nativity Story" was dropped as a sponsor of a Christmas festival for fear of offending non-Christians...
Bah Humbug! Now PC brigade target Christmas office party
11/28/2006 ENGLAND -Office Christmas parties face the axe after the Government's industrial relations watchdog warned bosses they face being sued for a raft of "politically correct" misdemeanours.
To avoid age discrimination claims, firms are told to "ensure there is a mix of music and that any organised entertainment takes account of all ages"...ge discrimination laws could be breached if the music and entertainment caters only for younger staff...
Any member of staff who suffers "verbal abuse" for being gay could also sue... Acas warns employers are responsible for events which take place even outside of the official party in a local pub... The pub, if staff are visiting prior to the event, is "an extension of work", so covered by all the usual discrimination laws. It opens firms to the prospect of a harassment claim as a result of banter or abuse over which they have no control.
...Staff were cleared to display trees, tinsel and lights - but only because they are "secular" and "not inherently religious".
...The guidance was last night branded "politically correct drivel", but firms said it was enough to put them off holding an official Christmas party...
...Raffles to raise money for the company's social club should be approached with caution, as Muslims are forbidden from gambling. Care should also be taken not to offer alcohol or meat as prizes...
...Possible pitfalls include age discrimination laws, a raft of health and safety legislation and the Protection from Harassment Act. Damages could run to hundreds of thousands of pounds - enough to cripple a small business...
Matt Hardman, of the Forum of Private Business, said companies were cancelling formal Christmas parties.
He added: "They feel they are given unreasonable responsibility for employees who may have a mishap after over-indulging...
...Ruth Lea, director of the Centre for Policy Studies and formerly of the Institute of Directors , said the advice was 'beyond parody'.
Backlash Causes Airline to 'Back Peddle' on Decision re: Employee's Wearing of Cross December 1, 2006- (AgapePress) - British Airways (BA) recently announced that it would again review its dress code policy after initially ruling that one of its employees could not wear a cross to work because it violated the dress code.
Back in October, Nadia Eweida, a check-in worker, was told that she would have to either remove her cross or hide it beneath a scarf.
Eweida, a Coptic Christian, refused and was ultimately sent home. She was also placed on unpaid leave.
...Eweida [said] "British Airways permits Muslims to wear a headscarf, Sikhs to wear a turban, and other faiths religious apparel," she said.
"I will not hide my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ."
Eweida filed an appeal with the airline, but lost. She was once again told that she could not wear a cross that was fully visible to others.
Eweida's plight soon became public, and British Airlines experienced a backlash of gigantic proportions. Statements and articles declaring religious discrimination were lodged by Christians and clergy worldwide.
According to VirtueOnline, even the British Parliament became involved as close to 100 members protested on behalf of Eweida...
....The Archbishop of Canterbury , Dr. Rowan Williams [said] "...if BA is really saying or implying that the wearing of a cross in public is a source of offense then I regard that as deeply offensive..."

Warming Caused by Natural Cycle, Not Humans
11/16/2006 NCPA Adjunct Scholars Avery and Singer Outline Unstoppable Climate in New Book DALLAS (November 16, 2006) - Human activities have little to do with the Earth's current warming trend, according to a new book by Denis Avery and Fred Singer, Adjunct Scholars with the National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA). In fact, the book concludes that global warming and cooling seem to be part of a 1,500-year cycle of moderate temperature swings. Coming out as the leadership of Congress shifts, the book - "Unstoppable Global Warming: Every 1,500 Years - builds on research the two previously outlined in an NCPA study (http://www.ncpa.org/pub/st/st279/).
